About Dr. Sarkar

Dr. Papri Sarkar is a board certified dermatologist and a frequently quoted expert in skincare, lifestyle & cosmetic dermatology. She has been featured extensively on sites such as Allure, Popsugar, Refinery 29, GQ, Business Insider and Shape. She has also written many scientific papers and textbook chapters on various aspects of skin health.

Dr. Sarkar practices in Newton, MA and is the Past President of the New England Dermatologic Society. She is also a fellow of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Sarkar graduated from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine with both honors and a distinction in research. For dermatology training, Dr. Sarkar had the good fortune to train in both NYC and Boston, MA. Her first year of training was at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine in NYC and she completed her dermatology training at the Harvard Combined Dermatology Program in Boston.

After completing her residency, Dr. Sarkar joined the faculty at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and was an instructor at Harvard Medical School. Following that, she practiced at Brookline Dermatology Associates from 2011-2020.
